Restaurants in Buenos Aires

Hi,
I will be in Buenos Aires in December, and am looking for good restaurants, both to go with my parents (nicer, can be more expensive) and bar like places I can hang out with friends. For these, I am looking for whatever is "in" right now. I want somewhere where there will eb a lot of young people!!

Regarding neightborhoods, I´d stay away of SAN TELMO at night!. It´s a really nice place to visit during day light, however at night you´ll deffinitevely be robbed.

If I were you I would go to TEMAIKEN. It´s a zoo in ESCOBAR, near PILAR. Speaking of witch, you should go to PILAR!. It´s a really nice place in BUENOS AIRES´s out-skirts.

Regarding nightclubs, It depends on the music you´d like to hear.

I would recommend CROBAR or to EL PUNTO. In those u´ll hear not only electronic or dance music, but also salsa.

AS in, which neighborhoods would you go to, are there any you'd stay away from? Like, where can I go to eat and then out to a bar or nightclub? Is there anything I should be worried of?

I totally agree with Catalina!!, las canitas should be a must while you´re visiting Argentina.

I also recomend Puerto Madero!, its more expensive, but it´s worth it!. There you will find lot´s of great restaurants and at the same time lots of pubs. When there, you should deffinitevely go to ASIA DE CUBA.

A really nice place to go now a days is "Las Canitas", which is an area of Palermo (the neighborhood). There are SOOO many restaurants in Buenos Aires that choosing is virtually impossible, but I can just recomend a few areas of town that are particularly known for nice restaurants. You can also check out some of the restaurants near Palermo Soho and Plaza Serrano... You'll be able to find all kinds of food around there. I would check out some internet sites to see what restaurants are around this area and see there menus. a good one is http://bue.gov.ar where you'll find tons of info on the city. Good luck and hope you enjoy it!
